Enhancing meaningful participation in climate justice for Girls and Women

In collaboration with 4K clubs, Polycom Girls has been actively promoting increased fruit tree planting and vegetable gardens in the counties where it operates. Specifically targeting girls and boys in schools, this initiative creates a platform for dialogue about climate justice, just transitions, and demystifying conversations around climate change. Polycom Girls also play a crucial role in mapping communities affected by extreme climatic changes. By advocating for resilience and adaptation, especially during events like floods and droughts, they encourage the adoption of locally led adaptation. In addition Polycom has embarked on the The Green Accountability Program which aims to address the lack of transparency, limited grassroots engagement, and insufficient accountability in climate finance governance. The program seeks to enhance the effectiveness of community-led climate responses. The initiative will engage grassroots organizations, public authorities, and other stakeholders to promote equitable climate finance policies and practices.
